The Campsite

Combs Valley Campsite is an all year round camp site suitable for tents, caravans and camper vans (16 amp electric hook-ups are available). We are nestled in a beautiful valley within Derbyshire, overlooking Combs reservoir and surrounded by the Goyt Valley and the Peak District National Park – there are numerous footpaths to the hills straight from the campsite. We have two local pubs which serve good food, the Beehive Inn and the Hanging Gate – both are only 10 minutes walk from the campsite. The train station is a 20 minute walk away – with a footpath leading directly from the campsite to the station. Our site is suitable for tents, caravans and camper vans (16 amp electric hook-ups are available).

The Area

Combs is a small hamlet situated between Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith. It’s positioned perfectly for those wanting to get away from it all, but still be close enough to a wide variety of activities and small bustling towns.

The village is sheltered by some impressive hills, including Ladder Hill and Combs Edge and is nestled between the Goyt Valley and hills of the Peak District National Park.

Combs Valley Campsite is a quiet family site. We treat all our guests with the utmost respect and expect other site users to do the same.

Please view our Campsite Terms & Conditions for further information.

Things to do

There are a wide variety of activities available in the local area. Combs Reservoir has a local sailing club and the Reservoir fishing is controlled by the Prince Albert Angling Society. There’s a golf course less than a mile up the road and there are numerous footpaths directly from the site for those who would like to explore the Peak District countryside on foot. Buxton is only 6 miles away, and both Manchester and Buxton can be reached directly by rail if you fancy a day out without the hassle of driving. Ladybooth Equestrian Centre is a 15 minute drive away if you’d like to explore the Peak District National Park by horseback.
